Our teachers have a deep understanding of the students entrusted to their care. They recognize their strengths as well as their fragility. They demonstrate care and respect for their students by building genuine connections.
Our 6th through 8th grade students are challenged with high academic expectations. Students in middle school receive 90 minutes of language arts and 90 minutes of math instruction each day. They also receive 90 minutes of science and social studies instruction every other day that integrates weekly targets in math and writing.
Offerings for electives include String Orchestra, Art, PE, Choir, Technology, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, and Creative Writing.
Extra-curricular activities include National Junior Honor Society, interscholastic athletics, after-school tutoring, and other various clubs.
The staff and administration realize the importance of helping students prepare for high school and college opportunity. Representatives from the public and private high schools in the area conduct an information night to assist 8th graders and their parents in planning for their futures.
